This is a popular trekking peak in Khumbu region, a legendary trekking trail in Nepal. Island peak climbing trekking consists of a number of steep slopes and narrow ridges. Climbing Island peak (6183m.)  is truly an exhilariting and adventurous mountaineering  experience for those adventure enthusiasts who  dare to face the challanges in the lap of giants mountains and the experience will be once in a life-time but neverthless no high technical mounaineering skills are required to climb Island Peak, simply both physical and mental fitness are highly recommendedand must.
 
Actually , Island Peak is mostly glaciated rising proudly from the Lhotse Glacier.A small col separates Island peak from the south Ridge of Lotse Shar.It is said that south –west is the part of the normal route which ease the climbers to the summit.The other name to this peak is Imja Tse in local language.
 
Island peak not only offers an exhilirating  experience of climbing to the adventure enthisiasts but also provides an opportunity of witnessing probably the most spectecular scenery of  snow-capped giants in Everest region including the top of the world, Mt. Everest. Besides,  Lhotse 8,516m, Nuptse 7,855m,  Lhotse Middle Peak 8,410m and Lhotse Shar 8,383m create such a fabulous scenery which is the notable highlight of this adventure trip.Furtheremore,the breath-taking views of Makalu 8,475m in the east, Baruntse 7,720m, and Mt. Amadablam 6,856m in the south  incorporate  more charm for climbing Island Peak.
Normally, climbers or trekkers find south east and south west ridge easier to climb Island Peak and the island peak base camp is at the height of 5087 m. between Imja Tse and the lateral moraine of the Imja Glacier. Most importantly, trekkers embark on an adventure to Island Peak climbing inorder to be in the mainland of Khumbu region, Everest Base Camp 5357m. and let their dream come true .An ascent of Kala Pattar 5,545m proves a
 
good acclimatization hike and gives you fabulous  and the closest-up views of the world's highest mountains including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and many  more. The summit of Island peak offers a rewarding and a superb views of pnaoramic mountaints, however, a complte  fitness  is required. Prior you go to climb  Island Peak, trekkers will  trek up the Dudh Kosi valley from Lukla, passing through a tourist hub, Namche bazar  and Tengboche on our way to Kala Pattar and Everest Base Camp After they get acclimatized for the further efforts, they then wil head up the beautiful Imja Khola valley towards Island Peak. Pristine villages, serene alpine vegetations and monasteries, flora and fauna in Sagarmatha national park, hispitable poeple of the region are other hightlights of this trip.

  • Day 01: Fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) then trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft)40 min flight,4 hours trek
  • Day 02: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft): 5-6 hours
  • Day 03: Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft): Acclimatization Day
  • Day 04: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft): 5- 6 hours
  • Day 05: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 5-6 hours
  • Day 06: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 5-6 hours
  • Day 07: Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5364m/17,594ft) and back to Gorak Shep (5170 m/16,961ft): 6-7 hours
  • Day 08: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m/18,192ft] and back to Lobuche (4940m/16,207ft): 7-8 hours
  • Day 09: Lobuche to Chhukung (4,730m/15,518ft): 6-7 hours
  • Day 10: Rest day in Chhukung
